Alright BONZAI.PRO crew, let’s go full nerd-mode and squeeze every last microstructural vitamin out of this screenshot 🍵🌿📈
Still trading DAX (GER40) like it’s 2014?
DOM + orderflow is alive… but most people still read it like a flat spreadsheet. 😅
Here, you’re looking at DAX futures liquidity as a 4D object: 3D market depth + time evolution, in real time, on the continuous contract with a CQG data feed. 🔌⏱️
This is not “a heatmap with candles on top”.
This is the order book turned into terrain. Price is basically hiking through liquidity mountains and sliding through liquidity canyons. 🏔️🕳️
What you’re seeing (decoded from the screenshot) 🧠🔎
1) Top panel (classic context)
-
GER40 Future 1 (DAX futures) shown as candles with volume bars underneath. 🕯️📊
-
This is your “macro view” for structure, trend, compression, and timing.
2) The 4D depth world (main stage)
This is the juicy part 👇
A 3D representation of the limit order book:
-
Cyan walls = BID liquidity (resting buy limit orders) 🟦
-
Magenta walls = ASK liquidity (resting sell limit orders) 🟪
-
The “city skyline” is basically size-at-price stacked into walls.
Think of each wall segment as a liquidity node: price level + displayed depth.
Thicker / taller = more resting size. Thin = air pocket.
3) The live price pointer
-
That vertical blue line is your real-time reference slicing through the book (your current auction location). 🎯
-
It’s the “blade” that tells you exactly where price is interacting with liquidity.
4) Right panel: Tape / Prints / Impact
On the right you’ve got the execution stream with columns like:
-
DATE / PRICE / SIDE / SIZE / IMPACT 🧾
Plus summary blocks (you can see things like buy/sell totals and cum impact), and buttons like Export + Reset. 📤♻️
This is key: depth shows intent (resting orders), tape shows commitment (executions).
When you combine both, you stop guessing and start reading.
5) Left panel: Control room 🎛️
From what we can read on-screen:
-
Exchange: Local
-
Symbol (looks like the continuous / mapped contract)
-
Camera: Interactive (so you can fly through the book)
-
Toggles for bids/asks/buy/sell
-
Settings like DEPTH 200, SPEED 200, SCALE 4, TICKSIZE 1
So you can control: -
how much book you display (depth),
-
how fast time flows/scrolls (speed),
-
how exaggerated the walls are (scale),
-
and the granularity (tick size).
Also visible: Record / Screenshot / Fullscreen / Download.
So you can capture sessions, review, and build your own playbook. 🎥📸
Why “4D” actually matters (not just fancy visuals) 🚀
Regular DOM reading is 2D: price ladder + numbers.
The problem: your brain sucks at tracking change over time in a static ladder. 🧠💀
This 4D view makes microstructure readable because it shows:
✅ Liquidity persistence
Is that big wall holding, reloading, or pulling?
-
Holding + aggressive prints into it = absorption vibes 🧱🩸
-
Pulling right before price arrives = ghost liquidity / trap potential 👻
-
Reloading (wall stays thick as it gets hit) = strong defense / iceberg suspicion 🧊
✅ Liquidity voids (fast zones)
Where the book is thin, price can travel like it found a downhill ski slope 🎿⚡
Those gaps matter more than “where indicators say support is”.
✅ Auction narrative (who’s in control)
-
If price approaches a magenta wall and the tape shows buyer aggression fading, that wall can act like a ceiling.
-
If price pushes into it with sustained aggression + wall thinning, you’re watching acceptance and potential continuation.
This is auction market theory in 3D clothing. 🕴️📦
Advanced read: what to look for (BONZAI-style) 🥷🌿
1) Absorption vs. Breakthrough
Absorption = heavy market orders hit a level but price doesn’t move through.
-
Tape prints keep coming
-
Wall doesn’t disappear (or reloads)
-
Price stalls / rotates
Breakthrough = wall starts collapsing and price keeps stepping.
-
Tape aggression stays strong
-
Wall thins or gets pulled
-
Price accelerates through the level
In this view you can literally see the wall eroding or holding.
2) “Pull then Push” (liquidity manipulation pattern)
One of the most useful real-time tells:
-
You see a wall ahead (looks like resistance/support)
-
Then the wall shrinks/pulls as price gets close
-
Price suddenly moves fast into the void
That’s your “don’t lean on fake walls” lesson, but visible in neon. 🔮🟪🟦
3) Stack & Lean zones (high confluence liquidity shelves)
When multiple levels show consistent size (a shelf), price tends to:
-
slow down,
-
chop,
-
auction back and forth,
-
and reward mean-reversion scalps.
When shelves disappear, volatility wakes up. 🐺📈
4) Liquidity cliffs = decision points
Tall walls often become:
-
fade zones (if absorption appears),
-
or breakout triggers (if the wall collapses + tape confirms).
The trick is NOT “wall = reverse”.
The trick is wall + tape behavior = decision.
How I’d use this for actual execution (not just eye candy) 🎯
Setup A: Wall Absorption Fade
-
Identify a big wall near current price (cyan for support, magenta for resistance).
-
Wait for aggression to hit it (tape prints into the level).
-
If wall doesn’t collapse and price can’t accept through, you fade toward the mean/next shelf.
Key confirmation: prints happen but price doesn’t progress.
That’s absorption.
Setup B: Liquidity Vacuum Momentum
-
Spot a thin zone ahead (book “air”).
-
If price starts moving into it with tape acceleration, you ride the vacuum.
-
Target the next major wall/shelf as your “landing zone”.
Thin book = speed.
Thick book = fight.
Setup C: Break and Hold (Acceptance)
-
Price breaks a wall zone
-
Pullback holds above/below
-
Book starts rebuilding on the new side
You’re seeing acceptance, not just a wick.
Why CQG + Continuous Contract is a big deal 🔌📡
Real-time depth tools are only as good as:
-
data integrity
-
update frequency
-
feed reliability
-
and how the platform handles contract mapping for continuous futures.
Using CQG and displaying it on the continuous future means you can keep the environment stable for:
-
replay,
-
back-testing behaviors,
-
building playbooks around recurring liquidity patterns,
without “oh this week the contract rolled and everything feels different”. 😤📆
(And yes: for BONZAI traders, consistency is oxygen.)
Power-user knobs (from your screenshot) ⚙️
-
DEPTH 200: how much book is visualized. More depth = more context, but also more noise.
-
SPEED 200: how fast the time dimension scrolls. Faster for scalping, slower for study.
-
SCALE 4: exaggerates wall height. Great to highlight dominant liquidity nodes.
-
TICKSIZE 1: keeps it precise for DAX micro-moves.
-
Toggle bids/asks/buy/sell depending on whether you’re analyzing:
-
liquidity structure (bids/asks),
-
or execution pressure (buy/sell prints).
-
Also: Record / Screenshot / Download = you can literally build a BONZAI library of “what it looked like before the move”. That’s how you level up fast. 🎥📚
TL;DR for the BONZAI.PRO vault 🔒🌿
This is orderflow + DOM, but upgraded into a spatial instrument:
-
Depth becomes geometry
-
Tape becomes confirmation
-
Time becomes visible
-
Liquidity becomes terrain
If you can read it, you stop trading “candles”.
You start trading the auction. 🥷📈
