Why is LUKSO arguably the best L1 bet right now ?

Professor's thoughts

👉 But first, a small reminder of what really is an L1 :

An L1, or Layer 1, is the foundational level of a blockchain network. Think of it as the main platform where all the basic operations, like recording transactions, take place. It's the original blockchain itself, examples being Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Everything, like decentralized applications (dApps), is built on this Layer 1. It handles key aspects such as ensuring the network is secure, can process many transactions (scalability), and remains decentralized.

Now that you know what an L1 is, it's important to understand that it's divided into two distinct sides : the network side and the application side.

1⃣ THE NETWORK SIDE :

This refers to how the blockchain is constructed and operates. It involves addressing the blockchain trilemma: achieving scalability, security, and decentralization. Currently, no blockchain has completely solved this issue, but leaders like Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC) focus on decentralization and security, as scalability often comes at the cost of decentralization.

2⃣ THE APPLICATION SIDE :

This is where LUKSO stands out ! It's about what can be built on the blockchain.

Developers use the blockchain's standards and tools to create applications. Ethereum has been the primary platform for this since 2015, offering the first significant standards. However, these standards have their limitations.

➡️ LUKSO ENTERS HERE !

Having developed standards over the last five years with minimal limitations. LUKSO's approach involves building a Layer 1 similar to Ethereum on the network side, but with a significantly more capable application side.

LUKSO's strategy is based on the premise that once a solution to the blockchain trilemma is found, it could be easily implemented across other L1 blockchains. Therefore, focusing on the application side is a logical move for LUKSO.

Now that you understand why LUKSO's bet on being an L1 is the smartest, you need to figure out how the application side of LUKSO is better than that of ETH, SOL, etc.

For this part, you can conduct your own research (my X account can help😌) or wait for me to create a thorough and detailed thread on this topic.

Be smart, choose LUKSO.
