I just had an Australian Muslim Revert on todays podcast episode.

His revert story is incredibly unique and one that I have never heard before.

Here are the 5 biggest lessons I learned from our conversation:

1. Guidance can come through struggle

We usually have the most personal growth when times are the hardest they have ever been.

2. Focus on yourself before others

We cannot help other people until we help ourselves. Don’t solve the worlds problems before solving your own.

3. Knowledge keeps you grounded.

You will always be shaking in your faith if you do not have depth in your knowledge.

4. Judge less, advise with mercy.

Haram police and takfīr culture push people away. Private, kind advice and brotherhood draw people closer to Islam.

5. Allah’s mercy has no limits.

No matter the sin Allah forgives those who turn back sincerely, what matters is effort and repentance.

Revert stories are always inspirational. His is one of the even more heart moving ones.
