How to borrow money like a pro (without getting liquidated)
What @saylor is doing with @Strategy is actually FANTASTIC.
Let’s say you want to borrow money to buy Bitcoin. You go up to investors and say:
🗣️ “Lend me money to buy BTC.”
They ask:
💰 What’s the interest rate?
You say: 0%.
❌ Do I get Bitcoin as collateral?
You say: No.
Now they’re confused. What’s in it for them?
Well, if your stock goes up 30%, they can convert their debt into your stock and borrow against it to get their money back.
But wait—what if the stock drops? Like MSTR dropping 15% yesterday?
📉 No problem. Because now that it’s lower, it’s easier to borrow more money to make up for it. And since the convertible bonds expire in four years (aka the next bull market), it’s just a waiting game.
Even if Bitcoin crashes to $50K, no liquidation. Just time on his side.
So, next time you hear "Michael Saylor will get liquidated", think again.
