By participating, you have a direct impact on the future of

Astar Networkand $ASTR. 

Your voice shapes the ecosystem and ensures it consistently gets better.

The voting process

The Voting process goes like this:

1. Discussion Period: A proposal is discussed for 7 days on the Astar Forum or Townhall.

2. Voting Period: the proposal is moved to a vote on Astar Townhall for another 7 days.

3. Execution: the implementation period varies (Depending on the proposal’s complexity).

How does it work ?

Voting happens off-chain and is powered by Astar Townhall. 

Your voting power is determined by your $ASTR. 

(It included the tokens locked in dApp staking or transferable on Astar Native and EVM).

Technical considerations:

Proposals require a minimum of 7 days for discussion and 7 days for voting.

Voting options include basic, single choice, approval, quadratic, ranked choice, and weighted voting. (I’ll explain what it means in another post if you want)

Voting power is calculated based on the current snapshot of $ASTR holdings.
