$1,95B MC In ONE month. Celestia in 7 Easy Steps.
$1,95B MC after a month and half of launch
Yes, you've heard about Celestia.
But do you really understand it?
After reading all the documentation I could, let me present…
→ The SIMPLE THREAD TO CELESTIA!
My goal is to condense hours of work into one EASY-TO-UNDERSTAND guide

1. What is Celestia
With @CelestiaOrg you can “mix blockchain” to take the "best" part of each of them.
Let me explain
2. But first, who are the founders?
The Project is founded by @musalbas (CEO), @KreuzUQuer (CTO) and @jadler0 (CRO).
And @nickwh8te is the COO.
Mustaffa Al-Bassam Ph.D. co-authored three academic books with the Ethereum's famous founder @VitalikButerin.

It started when he was doing his PhD.
Back in 2019, he released a white paper.
He saw the complexity of the link 6-phase roadmap of Ethereum.
He asked: how can we create a simpler blockchain?

Now that I got your attention with how the founders are legit, let's go deeper.
3. What problem does it solve?
Imagine you want to launch a project.
You’re thinking about which blockchain it will be based on.
Maybe you want Ethereum for its size and rapid deployment.
But you also like the low transaction cost of Solana.
Normally, you choose…
4. How Celestia solves this problem
In our example, instead of choosing between the two blockchains, Celestia allows you to pick both.
So you “mix blockchains” to take the best part of each of them.

Let’s explain it with an analogy:
You want to buy different gifts for Christmas.
You go to a shop that sells a bit of everything.
But they are lacking some of the products you wanted.
So instead, you go to a mall with a lot of different specialised stores.
The stores are all the blockchains.
The mall is Celestia.
It provides all the infrastructures - security, parking, and utilities.
5. The One Big Thing with Celestia.
It's a Modular Blockchain.
In "monolithic" model (like Bitcoin or Ethereum), the same blockchain handles all four core functions.

These 4 functions are:
- data availability
- consensus
- execution
- settlement
Celestia focuses on the first two ones. It provides the ground to "build whatever".

6. What are the benefits?
In the effort of making it simple, I will present two axes:
- Scalability: which means lower fees. Who would not like that?
- Flexibility: developer have access to a new field of possibility.
7. What are some use cases?
Again, in the effort of simplification, I have to omit certain things.
Let's take an example.
@0xcurio has managed to put a real-time strategy game with a 0.5-second “latency” to move the character and reflect it on chain.
I hope this article helped you understand Celestia and some Web 3 mechanics.
Keep in mind that the information omitted can be the subject of future posts!
